Students today have nomophobia, feelings of anxiety and fear that if not with her cell phone. This is the conclusion of a recent survey conducted SecurEnvoy, a company specializing in digital password, which conducted a survey of 1,000 people in the UK.
The survey results showed, 66 percent of respondents claimed to be afraid to lose or to live without their cell phones. This percentage is more swollen on respondents aged 18 and 24 years. Some 77 percent of respondents in this age group have nomophobia.
The emergence nomophobia on college-age people, fuelled by skyrocketing use of smartphones on campuses. A survey conducted in February 2012 for students at Ball State University Indiana also noted this growth.
